📊 Step 4 – Share Links from HitTrax, Rapsodo, GameChanger

HitTrax

Rapsodo

  • Open Rapsodo app → select session → tap “Share” → “Copy Link”.

GameChanger

  • In GameChanger app, go to team page → tap share icon → “Share Team Link”.
📌 Pro tip: Keep all three links in one document to paste into emails.

📍 Step 5 – Schedule HitTrax / Rapsodo Session

Use the official HitTrax facility finder. Closest facilities to Vacaville, CA:

  • The Baseball Barn – 2025 Masterson Court, Vacaville, CA 95687
  • NorCal Training Center – 6224 Silveyville Road, Dixon, CA 95620

What to film at the facility (hitter only – you are a shortstop/second baseman):

  • Hitting (10 swings) – jersey button side, no net, horizontal, full body. 5 full speed + 5 slow‑mo.
  • Defensive metrics (optional but recommended) – infield arm strength throws, 60‑yard dash, home‑to‑first.

🎥 Step 6 – In‑Game Footage Angles

Hitting

  • Jersey button side, horizontal, full swing through contact and extension.

Infield Defense

  • Fielding ground balls (forehand, backhand), turning double play, throwing to first.
  • Camera angle: side or behind the play, capturing entire motion and ball flight.

Combine Metrics

  • 60‑yard dash: camera behind finish line, horizontal, athlete in frame start to finish.
  • Arm strength pull down (infield): use radar gun or HitTrax/Rapsodo; film the throw from shortstop/third base position.

⚡ Step 7 – Secondary Skills Video

  • Fielding bunt + throw to first (from third base line and first base line) – horizontal.
  • Turning double play from shortstop (feed to second, pivot and throw).
  • Slow roller charge + barehand play to first.
  • Backhand play in the hole and throw across the diamond.

🎙️ Step 8 – “Get to Know Me” Video

Filming guidelines: Straight‑in shot, head and upper torso visible. Well‑lit, no hat, speak clearly. Do not read from notes. Answer in one continuous take.

Answer these questions (all in one video):

  1. What does “coachable” mean to you, and how do you show that on and off the field?
  2. Describe a time you failed or struggled in baseball. How did you respond, and what did you learn from it?
  3. What do you believe is your biggest strength as a teammate?
  4. What’s one thing you’re working on right now to improve your game?
  5. Why do you want to play college baseball?
  6. If a coach walked into the locker room and asked your teammates to describe you in three words, what would they say?
  7. What’s the best advice a coach has ever given you, and how did you apply it?
  8. Outside of baseball, what are you passionate about?
  9. Who has had the biggest impact on your baseball journey, and how?
  10. What role do you typically play on a team (e.g., vocal leader, lead by example, energizer, etc.)?
